New Delhi: India registered 1,259 fresh Covid cases and 35 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,21,070.
The country’s active caseload has declined to 15,378 constituting 0.04% of the total positive cases.
Nearly 1,705 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,85,534, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.22% and the weekly positivity rate is at 0.25%
Yesterday, the country registered 1,270 fresh Covid cases and 31 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Sunday morning, the country registered 1,421 fresh cases and 149 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, nearly 1,660 fresh cases were registered across the country.
