New Delhi: India saw a big jump in single-day Covid fatalities, with 2796 deaths being reported from across the country yesterday.
The death figure during the previous 24 hours was 415.
With this, the cumulative tally of deaths due to Covid has gone up to 4,73,326.
According to the Union Health Ministry today, 8,895 fresh Covid cases were registered in the last 24 hours and the total active cases stood at 99,155.
During the previous 24 hours, 8,603 cases were reported from across the country.
Around 6,918 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,40,60,774.
The vaccination figure has reached 1,27,61,83,065 across the country with inoculating 1,04,18,707 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
Nearly 9,216 fresh Covid cases and 391 fatalities were reported from across the country on Friday.
The country reported 9,765 fresh Covid cases and 477 deaths in 24 hours, a day earlier.
During the previous 24 hours, 8,954 new cases and 267 deaths were reported from across the country.
A day prior to that, 6,990 fresh COVID-19 cases and 190 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.
On Monday last, the country reported 8,309 fresh Covid cases and 236 fatalities in 24 hours.
