New Delhi (NVI): India has reported highest single-day spike with 3,79,257 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to 1,83,76,524 in the country, Union Health Ministry said today.
The country has reported 3645 deaths in the last 24 hours which took the total toll to 2,04,832 while 2,69,507 people have been recovered in the same period.
“India reports 3,79,257 new COVID19 cases, 3645 deaths and 2,69,507 discharges in the last 24 hours. The total cases in the country reached 1,83,76,524, total recoveries at 1,50,86,878, deaths at 2,04,832 and total active cases have reached 30,84,814,” Union Health Ministry said in a daily bulletin.
According to the data available, total 15,00,20,648 vaccination doses have been administered to the people of India.
Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that as many as 28,44,71,979 samples have beeb tested up to April 28, 2021, for COVID-19. Of these, 17,68,190 samples were tested yesterday, it added.
