New Delhi (NVI): India’s coronavirus tally stands at 88,14,579 with a single-day jump of 41,100 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, Union Health Ministry confirmed.
The country’s death toll has gone up to 1,29,635 with 447 fatalities reported within past 24 hours.
So far, 82,05,728 patients have been cured and recovered all over the country, while active COVID-19 cases remained below 5-lakh mark and currently stands at 4,79,216.
In worst-hit Maharashtra, the coronavirus cases climbed to 17,44,698 followed by Karnataka with 8,60,0282 cases and Andhra Pradesh with 8,52,955 positive cases.
Other states with a high virus hit included Tamil Nadu (7,56,372) Kerala (5,20,417) and Uttar Pradesh (5,09,903).
Meanwhile, of the total deaths, Maharashtra again tops the tally with 45,914 fatalities, followed by 11,508 in Karnataka and 11,466 in Tamil Nadu.
The total coronavirus cases in Delhi reached to 4,82,170, while the death toll in the national capital rose to 7,519 the healthy ministry data shows
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data, more than 12.48 crore samples tested for COVID-19 up to November 14. Of these 8,05,589 samples were tested yesterday.
Furthermore, the downward trend in COVID-19 infection in India continued as the cases the number of daily cases remained below 50,000.
