International Film Festival to pay homage to Stalwarts of Indian Cinema

Panaji: 52nd International Film Festival of India, which is scheduled to take-off tomorrow will pay homage to the stalwarts of Indian cinema whom the film industry lost in the recent past.

Festival will celebrate their life and work by screening their noted films, an official release said.

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s Devdas, director Buddhadeb Das Gupta’s Kaalpurush , actress Surekha Sikri’s Badhaai Ho will be screened at the festival under the homage section .

Apart from this, IFFI is paying homage to prominent Kannada film actors Puneet Rajkumar, Sanchari Vijay and Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu by screening their films Raajakumara, Naanu Avanalla…Avalu and Maargam respectively.

The festival will also screen the movie Vaastupurush as a homage to director Sumitra Bhave and film editor Waman Bhonsle.
