New Delhi (NVI): The Jharkhand government today announced a one-week lockdown starting from April 22 in view of surge in the COVID-19 cases in the state.
According to the order, religious places will remain open but the gathering of devotees will not be allowed. Mining, agricultural and construction activities are permitted.
The state has reported 30477 active cases so far with 1,35,256 recovered and 1,502 deaths, as per health ministry.
Altogether 43,691 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours.
