Srinagar, July 17 (NVI):- ADGP Vijay Kumar on Wednesday said that the Jammu and Kashmir Police is a professional, apolitical and impartial force.
Talking to reporters here, Vijay Kumar said the J&K police is a professional and impartial force.
Besides that, it is apolitical, he insisted.
His comment came against the backdrop of allegations by PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti that the police force, especially DGP R R Swain, are pursuing some political agendas.
Kumar said the J&K police has the integrity and dedication to maintain law and order without bias or political influence.
He said that police are committed to serve the public impartially and uphold the law with professionalism.
IGP Kashmir V.K Birdi spoke about the necessary arrangements that have been put in place to ensure the peaceful conduct of the Muharram 10th processions today.
Emphasizing the importance of the day, he assured the public that the police, in coordination with other security agencies, have made comprehensive plans to maintain law and order.
Both Officer’s visited Zadibal in Srinagar to take stock of the arrangements for 10th Muharram procession said that all arrangements are in place to ensure peaceful conduct of religious processions. (News Vibes of India)
