J&K: Terrorists attack BJP leader Anwar Khan’s Nowgam residence, cop dies

Srinagar (NVI): A policeman has died after terrorists attacked the residence of BJP leader Anwar Khan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowgam today.

The terrorists fired upon the guard post of Khan’s residence at the Aribagh area of Nowgam.

Policeman Rameez Raja, who was critically injured during the attack, succumbed to his injuries, police said.

Reportedly, the BJP leader is safe as the attackers fled after facing resistance from the guards.

This is the second attack on BJP leaders since Monday when a BJP councillor and a Special Police Officer (SPO) were killed in a terror attack carried out by two terrorists near Lone Building in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
