J&K: Two LeT OGWs held in Baramulla, arms and ammunition seized

New Delhi (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba Over Ground Workers (OGW) in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and seized arms and ammunition from their possession.

According to police, the terror associates have been identified as Bashir Ahmed Bhat, resident of Mirangund Kreeri and Waseem Ahmed Mir, resident of Authoora Kreeri.

Acting on a tip off, on April 11, during the search operation, police nabbed both for instigating and motivating youth of the Kreeri area to join the militant ranks for increasing the militant activities for which the aforesaid person have managed to procure some grenades and other arms and ammunition.

“Two Chinese Grenades and 20 Live AK 47 rounds have been recovered from their possession,” police said in a statement.

Case under relevant section has been registered and further investigation has been taken up, police added.
