Srinagar, Feb 18 (NVI) The nefarous designs of terrorists to cause bloodshed at two separate places in the Kashmir Valley today were aborted by alert security forces.
The terrorists had planted Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on busy roads in Shopian and Pulwama districts of Kashmir, which were detected and destroyed before they could cause any damage, officials said.
One IED was found on the roadside in Nagbari area of Pulwama district and another in a similar manner at Kashuwa road in Chitragam in Shopian district.
Both the IEDs were recovered during joint search operations by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police on the basis of specific intelligence inputs, the Army said.
“Indian Army remains resolute in its commitment to keep Kashmir terror-free,” said a post by Srinagar-based Chinar Corps. (NVI)
