Srinagar, May 4 (NVI): Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma on Monday criticised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his alleged “what the hell” remarks, saying such language was inappropriate for a constitutional authority and demanded an apology.
Speaking to reporters, Sharma said political leaders must maintain democratic decorum while reacting to election outcomes.
He said the results of assembly elections in five states reflect the will of the people and should be respected by all.
The BJP leader termed the remarks attributed to the Chief Minister as “unacceptable”, adding that such language does not befit the office he holds.
Sharma said instead of making such comments, leaders should congratulate voters for participating in the democratic process.
He also claimed that the BJP is gaining momentum and expressed confidence about its future performance in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the party remains focused on strengthening its base in the region.(NVI)
