Samba, Sep 24 (NVI) A 30-year-old man was injured in a firing incident near a tea stall in the Tarore area of Bari Brahmana in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, police said on Wednesday.
The injured, identified as Vishal Singh, a resident of Rahya in the Vijaypur area, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and was shifted to AIIMS Vijaypur for treatment, a senior police officer said.
Two to three rounds were allegedly fired during the incident, the officer said.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the firing and identify those involved, officials said.—(NVI)
