Night curfew imposed in Bhopal, Indore

New Delhi (NVI): The government of Madhya Pradesh today announced that a night curfew will be imposed in Bhopal and Indore from tomorrow till further orders, in the wake of rising coronavirus cases across the state.

In a order, the state government also said that markets will be shut in eight cities at 10 pm from March 17 till further orders.

These cities are Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Burhanpur, Betul and Khargone.

“Night curfew will be implemented in Bhopal & Indore from March 17 until further order. Whereas markets in 8 cities-Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Ratlam, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Betul, Khargone to shut at 10 pm, from March 17. There won’t be curfew in these cities,” the government order read.

Moreover, the order also informed that people coming from Maharashtra to the state will have to pass through thermal screening and stay in isolation for one week.

The decision was taken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a meeting with senior officials after reviewing the coronavirus situation in the state, as per the reports.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh reported 797 fresh coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, taking the tally of cases to 2,69,391, while the death toll reached 3,890 with three more deaths.
