Srinagar, Aug 24: (NVI) Ahead of the assembly elections, Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari said his party will not form any pre or post-election alliances in Jammu and Kashmir, having learned from the Lok Sabha elections.
Apni Party President on Saturday, visited the Chanapora constituency, from where he is contesting the assembly elections and actively running his campaign.
Addressing media while visiting Chanapora in Srinagar, Bukhari said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not willing to support anyone, as the memories and wounds from 2016 are still fresh. Those responsible for the deaths of youth during that time are now claiming they should rule Jammu and Kashmir again, he said.
He also stated that the Apni Party will contest 60 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, with 40 in Kashmir and 20 in Jammu Province.
Regarding the recently formed alliance between JKNC and Congress, he criticized it, saying it is not just between two parties but includes JKNC, Congress, PDP, CPI(M), and BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. Some parties are openly forging an alliance while some are behind the curtains. (News Vibes of India)
