New Delhi (NVI): Delhi government today informed the high court that no night curfew would be imposed in the national capital, or parts of it, for now to contain the coronavirus spread.
The court was hearing a plea filed by Advocate Rakesh Malhotra on increasing coronavirus test centres and getting speedy results.
Delhi government filed a status report in which it said it has issued an order directing status quo be maintained with regard to permitted and restricted activities in the city till December 31.
Since the last week of October, the capital saw an uptick in daily infections with the number breaching the 8,000-mark in November.
So far, Delhi has reported 5,78,324 cases of coronavirus infections and 9342 deaths.
