Udhampur,Aug 20(NVI): Search operations by security forces are currently underway in Dudu area of Basantgarh in district Udhampur.
A CRPF inspector was martyred in a terrorist attack on August 19, 2024 . The attack occurred when terrorists opened fire on a patrol party in the remote area of Basantgarh.
The CRPF inspector, who was part of the 187th battalion, was hit by a bullet and succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital.
The terrorists fled the scene due to strong retaliation by the joint patrolling party. The area has been cordoned off, and reinforcements have been sent to track down and neutralize the terrorists. A massive combing operation is going on in the region, with additional forces being deployed to track down the terrorists responsible.
The Dudu area, known for its difficult terrain and dense forests, has been cordoned off as security personnel comb through the region in search of the terrorists.
Officials have confirmed that multiple teams comprising the Indian Army, CRPF, and local police are involved in the operation. Drones and sniffer dogs are also being utilized to aid in the search. (News Vibes of India)
