Washington: People of Sindh, Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) are being meted out discrimination and exploitation by the Pakistani regime in the same way as was done in East Pakistan which led to its independence in the form of Bangladesh in 1971.

This has been stated in a petition by Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) to the US House of Representatives, while appealing the august body not to encourage “Punjab-dominated Pakistan” to continue committing the “serious crimes” against peoples of these regions.

In the petition, JSFM Founder Zafar Sahito has objected to the US House of Representatives “recognizing 23 March 1943 as ‘Pakistan Day’,” saying it would “extend the slavery of the historical Sindhi, Baloch & Pashtun nations enchained in slavery of Punjab dominated Pakistan.”

He said that the Lahore resolution (adopted on March 23, 1943) was about sovereign & independent states not a “Single Pakistani state”.

“The documents about this resolution are available. US lawmakers & Officials must check the legality & authenticity before issuing any official statement, because Pakistan is not a one nation as “Pakistani nation” but a country for various nations of region but Punjab & military establishment is ruling since creation of Pakistan,” Sahito said.

“Bangladesh, previously known as East Pakistan, got its independence from Pakistan because of discrimination & exploitation by Pakistan with them,” he recalled.

“Today, the same is happening with Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, GB, Saraiki & POK people,” he added.

The Sindhi leader said, “Creation of Pakistan was on equality for all but unfortunately Punjab dominated Pakistan have committed serious crimes against historical nations of region & have changed it to an epicenter of terrorism.”
