Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it attacked a Police Station in Peshawar City last night, causing heavy loss to material and men there.

The Police Station in Matani area was attacked on two sides by the Mujahideen of TTP who used light and heavy weapons.

As a result, transformers and some vehicles inside the police station were burnt to ashes and there is a strong possibility of police officers being killed, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said in a statement.

He said TTP used Rockets, Pika gun, Grenade Launchers and Laser guns.

Suggesting that it was a revenge attack, Khurasani said, “It should be remembered that some time ago, in the same area, one of our comrades, Maling, was martyred and his body was tied to an armoured vehicle and his body was desecrated.”.

Khurasani said TTP also killed 2 officers of Pakistan Army in 2 separate targeted attacks last night.

“Last night at around 10:00 p.m (Pakistan time), Mujahideen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan attacked an army officer with a laser gun in Uldin Jhe area of ​​Gudiyum, district (tehsil) of North Waziristan, Bannu Province,” he said.

The officer was killed in the attack.

The second attack was carried out at 11 pm in Tap area of ​​the same district with a laser gun in which an army officer was killed while a spy camera was destroyed, the TTP spokesman said.
