Srinagar, Jul 7 (NVI): Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth on Tuesday called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar.
General Seth was accompanied by General Officer Commanding, Chinar Corps, Lieutenant General Balbir Singh, and other senior Army officers.
The meeting was a courtesy call following General Seth’s assumption of office as the Chief of the Army Staff on June 30.
During the meeting, the chief minister congratulated General Seth on taking over the top Army post and wished him success in his new assignment, officials said.(NVI)
