Quetta, May 15: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today said it killed 31 personnel of the occupying Pakistani military, including a Major-rank Army officer, and wounded several others in multiple attacks across Balochistan over a period of 10 days.
In these coordinated operations, seven personnel and operatives of the Pakistani military-backed “Death Squads” and Military Intelligence (MI) were also killed, it said.
The BLA carried out 18 successful operations, including 7 powerful IED strikes, against the enemy across Balochistan between May 4 and May 14, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement to NVI.
The BLA freedom fighters also took control of main highways for hours at various locations, targeting vehicles of exploitative companies and occupying forces, and detaining individuals associated with these companies.
During this period, BLA lost 5 valiant fighters, identified as Ali Jan alias Sudais, Ahsanullah alias Master Maran, Nasrullah alias Mama Zagreen, Tanveer alias Murad Khan, and Sadullah alias Wajid, the spokesman said.
He gave the details as follows:
May 4: In the Eri Kalag area of Ras Koh, Kharan, local agents of the occupying army carried out a cowardly attack, martyring BLA’s Ali Jan Siyapad alias Sudais.
May 5: In the Kishangi area of Nushki, BLA fighters completely destroyed a Levies force check-post by planting explosive materials.
May 7: In the Ispelinji area of Mastung, BLA fighters killed a soldier stationed at an occupying army camp in a sniper attack.
On the same day, near Ornach on the RCD Highway, BLA fighters targeted an occupying army vehicle with a remote-controlled IED, causing heavy casualties and financial loss.
May 8: In the Maro area of Mastung, BLA fighters ambushed a convoy of the occupying army, resulting in the immediate death of three enemy soldiers.
May 10: In the Chappar area of Kalat, freedom fighters targeted personnel of the occupying Pakistani army with an IED, causing casualties and damage.
Later, during intense clashes with the occupying forces in the same area, two BLA fighters — Ahsanullah alias Master Maran and Nasrullah alias Mama Zagreen — were martyred while fighting bravely.
On the same day, in the Siah Chang area of Dalbandin, BLA fighters targeted ‘Death Squad’ operatives in an armed attack. The bodies of the two killed operatives were later moved from the site by the occupying army.
May 11: In the Balangor area of Kech, freedom fighters attacked personnel stationed at an occupying army camp, resulting in one soldier killed on the spot and another seriously injured.
May 12: In the Gorkadan area of Zamuran, BLA fighters targeted foot soldiers of the occupying army with a remote-controlled IED as they were carrying rations. One soldier was killed, and another was injured in the blast.
On the same day, in Faqeer Colony, Gwadar, BLA fighters targeted police personnel with a grenade attack, resulting in two injuries.
May 13: On the CPEC route in Panjgur, BLA fighters carried out an armed operation, killing two active Death Squad operatives.
In the Sheikh Wasil area of Mastung, BLA fighters targeted a convoy of 20 large vehicles involved in looting Baloch resources and their security detail on the Quetta-Taftan Highway. Eight mineral-carrying vehicles were disabled, and six occupying soldiers were killed.
In Chamalang, based on precise intelligence from BLA’s intelligence wing ‘ZIRAB’, BLA fighters killed eight occupying Pakistani army personnel, including Major Tauseef Bhatti.
In the operation at Bala Dak, one vehicle was first blown up with a remote-controlled device, followed by a heavy armed assault on the second vehicle.
On the same date, freedom fighters blockaded the Quetta-Taftan Highway between Lag Aap and Khazangi in Dalbandin for over two hours.
During this, three suspicious individuals associated with the ‘Siah Dik’ exploitative project were detained, and a vehicle belonging to the ‘Reko Diq’ project was taken into custody.
In Nushki, BLA fighters maintained blockades and snap-checking at Sar Mal and Jorkain on the Quetta-Taftan Highway for hours. Occupying army vehicles attempting to advance at Sar Mal were targeted, resulting in the destruction of one vehicle and the death of three soldiers.
May 14: In a coordinated and successful assault, BLA fighters took full control of the Dringarh area in Mastung. They seized control of the local police station and other government buildings, taking all available weapons and ammunition into their custody.
On the same day, in the Kurdgap area of Mastung, the BLA fighters controlled the Quetta-Taftan Highway and conducted snap-checking for several hours.
