Peshawar: Coming out in support of ‘Baloch Long March’, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight slammed Pakistani regime for cracking down on it and said armed outfits have been born in the country only because of such “cruel” behaviour of the State authorities.

In a statement, TTP said the Pakistani regime understands only the language of force and “resistance” and not the non-violent means of highlighting problems.

Pointing out that the Pakistani forces did not spare even the women and elderly participants of the march, TTP questioned the silence of international organizations, including the UN, over it.

“The protest (march) of the Baloch people, which was launched as a result of atrocities of the armed state agencies, travelled all the way to reach Islamabad, where they are facing state coercion and arrests,” TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

“Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan pays tribute to the selfless courage and tireless struggle and sacrifices of the Baloch nation,” it said.

The Baloch Long March started from occupied Balochistan’s Kech district, bordering Iran, a week ago and reached the outskirts of Islamabad last night.

It was then intercepted by the Pakistani security forces, who used brutal force on the participants, including women, elderly and children, before whisking them away to unknown places.

“Due to such black actions and cruel behavior of the armed class imposed on Pakistan, various armed organizations came into being in the country to achieve their legitimate rights,” TTP said in the statement.

“The state of Pakistan did not refrain even from unleashing violence on women, students and elderly people. The silence of international organizations, including the United Nations is also sad in this regard,” the statement said.

“The oppressed nations should remember that Pakistan’s oppressive institutions only understand the language of resistance and full struggle against them,” it said.

Khurasani said the Pakistani regime has once again shown its disgusting face to the world that there is no law in Pakistan till date.

He said Pakistan is the only country in the world where only the language of force works.
