My Government Will Make Full Efforts for Restoration of Statehood : LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar, Nov 04(NVI): In the first session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha his government will make all efforts for the restoration of full statehood and constitutional guarantees available to the state.

“It would be a reciprocation of the faith reposed by the people of J&K in our democratic institutions,” he said and also announced that the government will provide 200 electricity units free of charge to eligible families.

He emphasized plans to collaborate with the central government to promote the region’s development. During his address, Sinha stated that a resolution has been passed regarding statehood, reflecting the voice of the people. He affirmed his government’s commitment to restoring statehood, stating, “My government will make full efforts for the restoration of statehood.”

Sinha expressed support for the resolution proposed by the previous Omar Abdullah government aimed at restoring statehood and empowering the region.

The Lieutenant Governor also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has promised to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir on several occasions.

In his address to the Assembly, Sinha announced the creation of three lakh jobs for implementing government schemes and the introduction of a single-window system for the agriculture sector.

Regarding industrial policy, Sinha revealed plans to develop 46 industrial estates in Jammu and Kashmir.   (News Vibes of India)
