We have no foreign agenda, don’t be misled by Pakistani propaganda: TTP to USA

Leaders of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -- File Pic

Peshawar, April 2 (NVI) Insisting that it has “no foreign agenda”, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today asserted that it poses no threat to the US and asked the international community “not to be misled by the complaints and false propaganda of the disruptive elements in Pakistan”.

The TTP clarified its stance in a press statement in the wake of a report prepared by 18 US intelligence agencies which stated that the Islamist militant outfit poses a potential threat to the United States in the future.

At the same time, Pakistan’s Special Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, along with the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, have repeatedly raised this issue on various occasions, the statement noted.

“Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan once again clarifies that we have no foreign agenda,” said the statement issued by its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani and meant to be addressed to the US and other foreign powers.

“Even within Pakistan, we are only fighting against those elements who are involved in oppression, killings, enforced disappearances, fake encounters, and other major crimes in the country—primarily led by the Pakistani military and intelligence agencies,” he said.

“Our actions on the battlefield are clear evidence of this,” the spokesman said in a bid to authenticate the statement.

“We send a message to the United Nations, the United States, and all other global powers not to be misled by the complaints and false propaganda of these disruptive elements in Pakistan. Instead, they should strive to understand the realities on the ground,” Khorasani said.

“At this moment, it is also important to remind that in recent times, the military and police have been desecrating the bodies of our fallen comrades and demolishing the homes of Mujahideen, which is a blatant violation of human and international laws,” he added. (NVI)

As public resistance grows in POJK, Pakistan plans to deploy paramilitary force Rangers

A Protest by locals in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) a few months back.

Muzaffarabad (POJK), April 1 (NVI) In an effort to further consolidate its grip on the so-called ‘Azad Jammu and Kashmir’, its illegal occupant Pakistan is going to deploy tens of thousands of the paramilitary force ‘Rangers’, who will be under the command of senior Army officers.

The ostensible reason for such a move is to “control terrorism and public protests” and comes in the wake of growing resentment and resistance by the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, local sources told NVI.

Over the last one year, there has been a growing public movement under the banner of Joint Awami Action Committee for the basis rights of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, like reasonable rates for electricity generated from the region and low prices for wheat.

There have been a series of agitational programmes for these basic rights across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir but these have been peaceful, despite the brutal force used by the police and other security personnel on the protesters.

“The new move by the Pakistan government indicates that it wants to crush even these peaceful agitations with more brutal force,” said a source.

This move, which is illegal considering that POJK is an occupied territory, is facing strong opposition from the public.

Over the past one year, the Joint Awami Action Committee led by activist Shaukat Ahmed, has gained immense popularity and grown into a strong resistance movement, mainly because it is apolitical and gets support from across the political spectrum.

The Committee has now moved on from the basic rights to demands for economic and political autonomy of the region.

The Pakistani regime and its puppet system in POJK tried to use several tactics to break this movement but all the attempts failed.

In the wake of these failures, the Pakistani regime has come up with this plan of deploying Rangers in POJK.

Under the UN Security Council Resolutions, deployment of foreign forces like Rangers is illegal and violates the fundamental rights of the people of POJK.

Pakistan has tried such tactics earlier also but failed.

The people of POJK in 1954 displayed strong resistance when the Punjab Constabulary was deployed here, finally forcing the Pakistan government to find a political solution.

Last year too, Pakistan deployed around 600 personnel of the Punjab Constabulary, triggering a strong public reaction in Muzaffarabad and other places. The agitation resulted in the killing of 3 youth and damage to public property worth crores of rupees. (NVI)

TTP slams Pakistan army for Mardan drone strike, calls for revolt against Generals

Leaders of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -- File Pic

Peshawar, Mar 31 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has blasted the Pakistan Army for carrying out drone attacks in Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the holy month of Ramadan which killed and injured many innocent people and asked the Muslims of the country to rise against the military.

In a statement, TTP said the actions like the drone attacks in the Katlang area of Mardan district during the holy month of Ramadan was not the first of its kind by the Pakistan Army.

“Such painful and tragic incidents have happened not once or twice, but dozens of times,” said the statement issued by TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.

“We have repeatedly told our oppressed and proud people that this (Pakistan) army is a mercenary army,” he said, adding “if we look at their history, history is ashamed of their dark and cruel stories.”

Referring to the drone attacks in Mardan in which several innocent people, including children, were killed, Khorasani said, “Such brutal military generals are neither loyal to Islam nor to the nation, but are concerned about their own luxury and dollars.”

Appealing to the “residents of the country of God and those who call themselves Islam”, the TTP spokesman said, “stand up and demand your rights from these cruel and oppressive military generals. We stand by you.”

He posed a query. “Just like Muslims of Pakistan are united against the bombing of Palestinian Muslims, why are they silent about these drone attacks in Mardan? Why is journalism and media (of Pakistan) silent?”

He underlined to the “Muslims of Pakistan” that “To achieve the goal for which Pakistan came into existence,” they should “support Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and uproot this scourge of General-ism.”

He said, “it will not be long before the spring of Islam comes to the country.” (NVI)

In Eid message, TTP chief greets Muslims, slams Pakistani establishment

TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud (File Pic)

Peshawar, March 28 (NVI) In a rare statement, the Amir of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Abu Mansoor Asim Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud has slammed the Pakistani military establishment, saying it is responsible for all the problems, including security, political and economic, that the country is facing.

The TTP chief, whose outfit is engaged in a ‘war’ against the Pakistani establishment with the aim of establishing Sharia laws in the country, asked “all classes and strata” of the nation to “seriously make a plan and find a way to get rid of this military calamity”.

In the statement issued on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul Fitr, the TTP chief conveyed his greetings to the Muslims and blasted the Pakistani establishment, saying the officials did not stop oppression against the Muslims even during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“In the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims generally try to implement the orders of the Allah, save themselves from disobedience of the Allah, generally show sympathy among themselves, and remember our Muslim brothers and sisters in their food and drink and prosperity. We should continue these practices in other months as well,” he said.

“I must also remind you that in the blessed month of Ramadan, the series of oppression by the government officials did not stop in our dear country (Pakistan),” he said, adding there was widespread desecration, corpses were thrown at various places and torture and merciless bombing continued unabated.

“It is a pity that the calls for action against this oppression were not heeded to, and the voices that were raised against this oppression were not heard. Instead, messages of sympathy with the oppressive institutions were published in the media by certain classes and individuals for the sake of achieving their own goals,” he said.

The TTP chief said the 78-year history of Pakistan bears testimony to the fact that these oppressive forces (Pakistani military) flourish when there is a state of “confusion”.

“All the problems — security, political, economic, etc — being faced by Pakistan are big projects and plans by the military establishment and not without any reason,” he said.

“In order to solve these self-made problems, all classes and strata of Pakistan should seriously make a plan and find a way to get rid of this military calamity, so that the oppressed people can be given their rights according to the Islamic system,” he said.

“Although this is a difficult phase, it also involves sacrifice. But there is no other choice. If it does not happen today, then tomorrow, the entire population will be affected by it,” he said.

The TTP leader also slammed the “rulers of Pakistani” for developing animostic relations with “the Muslim neighbour”, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, “to achieve their own personal interests and to make the Western masters happy” and said “They (Pakistani rulers) have clearly betrayed the country… it is treason.” (NVI)

Wondering what was the crime of the victims, he asked, “Can no one now pass near the cantonment? Will we now become stateless in our own homeland?”

He noted that for the last four decades, “we (Pashtuns) have been lifting bodies.”

He said while education, healthcare and employment are distant dreams in Khyber Pakthunkhwa, even “life is not guaranteed in the Pashtun homeland.”

“The State of Pakistan has been watering the Dollar wars with Pashtun blood for the last four decades, but the provincial and federal governments are silent,” the spokesman said, adding “We warn the provincial and federal governments to fulfill the responsibility of law and order seriously.”

BNM leader for ‘decisive joint struggle’ for freedom by Pashtun, Sindhis & Baloch

Dr Naseem Baloch, Chairman of Baloch National Movement (BNM), speaking at World Sindhi Conference in Geneva

Geneva, Mar 24 (NVI) Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) Dr Naseem Baloch has pushed for unity of Pashtuns, Sindhis and Baloch for a “decisive joint struggle” for complete independence from Pakistan.

“For centuries, our ancestors fought invaders and tyrants — from the British to previous empires, to those who sought to rule us against our will. Today, we continue that struggle. And just as those empires crumbled, so too will Pakistan,” he said at the Sindh Conference 2025, organized by the World Sindhi Congress in Geneva.

“Let there be no mistake—the oppression of Balochistan and Sindh is not accidental. It is a well-crafted, calculated strategy,” he said.

He stressed the importance of bringing their voices together on every international platform, exposing Pakistan’s crimes at global institutions, and standing in solidarity.

“Our struggle is not just about land or resources. It is about dignity, about justice, and about the right to exist as free nations,” he declared.

Dr. Baloch reminded the audience that Pakistan was imposed upon them in 1947, but their ancestors had been there for thousands of years before it and would endure long after it is gone.

While acknowledging the immense suffering of Sindh, including the suppression of the Sindhi language and culture, forced disappearances of activists, and economic strangulation, Dr. Baloch emphasized that the oppression faced by Balochistan and Sindh was not accidental, but part of a calculated strategy.

The BNM leader called for a decisive joint struggle, urging Baloch, Sindhi, and Pashtun nations to unite as one resistance, demanding complete freedom from Pakistan’s colonial rule.

He also called on the international community to take immediate action, including conducting an investigation into Pakistan’s war crimes, pursuing legal cases at the UN and the International Court of Justice, and halting all military and economic aid to Pakistan until it ends its human rights violations.

He demanded sanctions on Pakistani military and government officials responsible for these crimes.

“These are not just demands—they are a test of whether the international community truly stands for the principles it claims to uphold,” Dr. Baloch concluded. “And to Sindhis, Baloch, and Pashtuns, I say: our time has come.” (NVI)
