Srinagar, July 8 (NVI): Three personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra were injured after an unidentified vehicle hit them near the Taingan Bypass in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.
The incident occurred when the vehicle struck the three CRPF personnel of the 148 Battalion, who were on Yatra-related deployment, the officials said.
The injured personnel were shifted to Ujala Cygnus Hospital in Nowgam, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is stated to be stable, officials added.
The identities of the injured personnel were not immediately known.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident, officials said.(NVI)
