Srinagar, Dec 29(NVI): Flight operations have resumed at Srinagar Airport following disruptions caused by dense fog and snowfall over the past two days.
According to the airport’s Director, Javed Anjum, visibility has improved significantly, allowing for the normal operation of 23 scheduled flights today.
“Despite challenges earlier in the day due to poor visibility, flight operations are back on track. While two flights were canceled for operational reasons and two others were diverted, we have successfully resumed normal services. An additional Air India Express flight is also scheduled,” Javed said.
The Air Force has granted permission to operate flights until 7 PM to manage the heavy passenger rush effectively. Yesterday, around 37 flights were canceled, and seven were grounded on December 27 due to severe snowfall.
Passengers planning to travel in the next 24-48 hours are advised to check schedules with airlines as weather conditions, though improving, may still impact operations.( News Vibes of India)
