Quetta, Mar 12 (NVI) Angered by an operation launched by the Pakistani military against it, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said it killed 50 more captive soldiers during the last one hour, raising the number of the slain hostages to 100.
In its latest statement, the outfit threatened to eliminate all the other 150 captive soldiers if the Pakistan government persists with “aggression” and does not work for the swapping of prisoners whose deadline will expire tomorrow afternoon.
The outfit, which is fighting for freedom of Balochistan from Pakistan, seized Jaffar Express train yesterday and took hostage 214 Pakistani military personnel.
It gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the Pakistan government for release of the hostages in exchange for freedom of Baloch political activists, forcibly disappeared persons and others held by the Pakistani forces.
The outfit had warned the Pakistani forces against launching any operation to seek release of the hostages.
“Today, the enemy forces attempted an armed advance using heavy artillery and sophisticated weaponry, leading to intense clashes. However, BLA’s highly organized and professional combat strategy crushed the enemy’s offensive, forcing them into a humiliating retreat,” its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in the statement to NVI.
“Despite this victory, three BLA fighters embraced martyrdom, marking their place in Balochistan’s national struggle for liberation,” he said.
He said that in response to the “latest act of military aggression by the occupying Pakistani forces”, the BLA delivered a “firm and final response” by executing 50 more captive enemy personnel within the past hour.
The spokesman said the execution was carried out “in direct retaliation to Pakistan’s persistent aggression, obstinacy, and failure to engage in a serious prisoner exchange” and Islamabad’s “blatant disregard to prior warnings and the option of a prisoner exchange.”
These individuals were found guilty by the Baloch National Court of war crimes, ethnic cleansing, enforced disappearances, resource exploitation, and acts of state terrorism in Balochistan, he said.
Earlier, in response to last night’s Pakistani drone strike, 10 enemy personnel were executed. Additionally, in today’s clashes, another 10 Pakistani soldiers were eliminated, while 30 were killed in combat yesterday. This brings the total number of eliminated enemy personnel to over 100.
With approximately 150 more hostages still in its custody, the BLA issued “the final and unequivocal warning: if the occupying military initiates another act of aggression, all remaining hostages will be executed immediately.”
Jeeyand Baloch said the BLA possesses the strength, capability, and unwavering resolve to enforce every decision with absolute precision.
“This resistance is not confined to a single battle but is an unstoppable movement within the broader Baloch national liberation struggle.
“With every passing moment, the weight of this war intensifies for the occupying forces, and the BLA remains committed to seeing this phase of resistance through to its rightful conclusion,” he said.
“Pakistan now has only 20 hours left. If concrete steps toward a prisoner exchange are not taken within this time, then with every passing hour, more hostages will be tried by the Baloch National Court and executed accordingly,” the spokesman said. (NVI)
