New Delhi, Apr 20 (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the loss of lives in the bus accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district and announced ex-gratia compensation for the victims.
In a post shared by the Prime Minister’s Office on X, the Prime Minister said he was pained by the tragedy and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.
An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund will be given to the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured will receive ₹50,000 as assistance, the PMO said.(NVI)
