New Delhi (NVI): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered night curfew in all towns and cities from 10 pm to 5 am, which will come into effect from December 1.
He has also doubled the fine for flouting Covid-19 appropriate behaviour to Rs 1,000 from Rs 500.
The curbs, which will be reviewed on December 15, also restrict opening timings of all hotels, restaurants, and marriage palaces till 9.30 pm
On Tuesday, Punjab recorded 22 more Covid-19 fatalities which pushed the death toll in the state to 4,653, while the caseload rose to 1,47,665 with 614 new infections.
