Srinagar, Sep 4 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience a fresh spell of thundershowers from tonight till Saturday afternoon, which may bring the season’s first snowfall over the Union Territory’s extreme higher reaches, according to a weather update.
The spell is expected to affect parts of J&K and may result in light snowfall over the higher reaches, while the Affarwat hills in Gulmarg’s Phase-II area could also receive light snowfall during the morning hours if the weather system persists.
The weather activity is likely to bring down daytime temperatures across the region, with mornings and evenings expected to turn noticeably cooler over the next few days.
Weather conditions are likely to improve gradually after the spell, while higher elevations may continue to witness cooler conditions.—(NVI)
