Quetta, Nov 16 (NVI): In a major attack, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today killed at least 7 Pakistani military personnel and injured over 20 after storming an Army camp in Kalat district of occupied-Balochistan.

According to local sources, several freedom fighters of BLA attacked the main army camp in Shah Mardan area of Kalat past midnight.

Stunning the Pakistani Army personnel at the camp, the BLA fighters managed to enter the high-security premises.

A fierce gunfight ensued and after several hours, 7 Pakistani Army personnel were reported to be dead and over 20 injured.

While the Pakistani military has not commented on the attack yet, the BLA issued a statement this afternoon, claiming responsibility for the assault.

“Fighters of the Baloch Liberation Army attacked the camp of the occupying Pakistani army in Kalat. We accept responsibility for this attack,” said the statement issued by its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.

He did not give any more information, saying details will be released in the media soon.

Meanwhile, amidst growing attacks by the freedom fighters which have shaken the Pakistani State, the authorities have ordered suspension of mobile internet services in several areas of Balochistan.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in a statement, has said the decision followed directives from the relevant authorities.

In the recent months, the occupying Pakistani forces have been at a receiving end as the freedom fighters have scaled up the number and intensity of their attacks.

The big scale attack in Kalat comes days after the BLA targeted freshly-trained Non-Commissioner Officers (NCOs) of Pakistan Army at the Quetta Railway Station on November 3.

The BLA had claimed to have killed 31 NCOs and injured over 60 in the attack by a suicide bomber who blew himself up amidst a gathering of around 200 Pakistani military personnel who were waiting to board a train. (NVI)

Pakistan: TTP says Army killed innocent people in N.Waziristan and labelled them ‘Mujahideen’

Leaders of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -- File Pic

Peshawar (Pakistan), Nov 14 (NVI) A day after Pakistan Army claimed to have killed 8 “terrorists” of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in North Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the Islamist outfit today said the “occupying and oppressive” military has killed innocent people and labelled them as ‘Mujahideen’.

The TTP condemned this act of the Pakistan Army and vowed to give a befitting response to it.

“In recent days, the Pakistani Army has repeated its previous history and martyred innocent people, including women and children, at two places in North Waziristan in drone attacks and has unsuccessfully tried to label them as ‘Mujahideen’,” said the TTP in a statement.

“The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan strongly condemns these attacks and invites the people of Pakistan, especially the tribal people, to rise up against these atrocities – to free their captives from this occupying and oppressive army,” said the statement issued by its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.

“The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan will give a befitting response to these attacks to the army,” the outfit said.
